The MCU is doing wonders at the moment, managing to hype people to unprecedented levels with a fight between superheroes and a guy they’ve never heard of whose never managed to get out of his chair in over five years. Meanwhile the DCMU has managed to do two movies with a crazy space hobo, one movie about a clown hooker and one that has Ben Affleck apparently doing everything……. he can to get his name off the project. But this is not the only way it could have gone. We could have had a Justice League back when Marvel was still talking about an “Initiative”, we could have had a Justice League from the man behind “Fury Road”, an altogether more human Justice League a………………………………….
When last we left our, “hero”? Wray Nerely has been roped up in Jack Moore’s hair brained scheme to bring back cult hit spectrum something that’s sounding better the more roles Jack looses to the ever growing Hemsworth brothers. But despite the conventions of screaming fans the promise of a decent pay check this still isn’t the “proper” acting Wray wants, the kind of proper acting he hopes to get on the set of “Doctor Cop Lawyer” the hit new crime series coming soon. Can he handle the dangers of mo cap training studios, modern auditions for disinterested audiences and of course the biggest danger of all his old cast mates. Don’t you just hate when an actor reaches that point in their career where they just stop trying, you know when they just play themselves in every movie come comedy, action or high water. Fortunately Alan Tudyk hasn’t reached that point as seen here by him playing an actor best known for a short lived sci-fi show from over a decade ago where he played pilot to Nathan Fillion’s swashbuckling captain. A show which he now struggles to escape the low budget shadow and fanbase of. That is how you stretch yourself as an actor and this is……………………
