We’ve gone three whole issues so Marvel can now stamp this comic with the official Marvel seal of approval, that of a cameo by ‘The Wolverine’. Though this time he’s going to be joined by the rest of……………….

What is ‘Mutant X: Issue 2’?

Standard

When last we saw Alex Summers he had landed himself in a parallel universe where things had gone a little caca. Hank had blown his intelligence on the ability to breath under water, Bobby’s powers were out of control, Storm was a vampire and Warren is a little creepy. Oh yeah and Nick Fury is a racist terrorist. So let’s check in with Marvel’s first family to see how they’re coping in this universe. Can’t be worse than how Marvel treated them for the last few years right and how will Alex act when he figures out there may be……………………………

What is ‘Mutant X: Issue 1’?

I’ve always been a sucker for alt-world stories. Stories where black can be white, up can be down and bad can be good. I also like comics that are set off in their own little corner of the multiverse, valid and yet seperate from everything else. Free to do what they want in service of the story. This is issue three of ……………………

When last we left our heroes the old guard had unleashed the worlds most powerful telepath who had been under lock and key for a very good reason and the new squad were operating at half strength and facing down a disembodied head of Galactus that was apparently eating up parallel Earths. We’re at one nill and it’s still anyone’s game in……………..

Exiles ‘Old Vs New’: Issue One

Standard

I often get accused of idolising the past, of course the comics I grew up with were better; they had better costumes, better story lines and better characters. Well I thought this time I would see if it were true. I haven’t gone back to Exiles in many years despite my love for the title and will thus be comparing them back to back issue to issue and for those who don’t know who the Exiles are. Why they’re a team who travel across parallel worlds, where it’s the same year and they are the same people but everything else was different to put right what once went wrong.
